How do I get a pilot job in the USA for foreigners?


In order to become a foreign pilot in the United States, a special certification is required. Even though you may already possess a foreign pilot license, that will, not be sufficient enough to secure a pilot job in the USA for foreigners. You will be required to apply for a United States pilot certificate.
Requirements to apply for a US pilot license to accept a United States pilot job for foreigners
In order to apply for a United States pilot certificate, your foreign pilot license must be a valid pilot license. It is also required that your foreign pilot license has been issued by a foreign Civil Aviation Authority that’s a member state of the International Civil Aviation Organization. In addition, it must be equivalent to or higher than a United States private pilot certificate level.

As an applicant for a pilot job in the USA for foreigners, to apply for a pilot job in the United States, there are certain language requirements that must be met. You will need to not only speak the English language fluently, but also read, write, and fully understand the language.'

A current medical certificate or medical endorsement will also be required in order to apply for a foreign pilot license in the United States. What happens after you have submitted your application to the FAA


Once your application has been received, the FAA will review your application. After your application has been reviewed, the FAA will send you a Verification of Authenticity letter that will expire within six months.

Within six months of receipt of the Validity of Authenticity letter, you will need to visit the FSDO. The FSDO will review your application and verify the authenticity of your documentation. You will also be required to pass an Instrument-Foreign Pilot knowledge test in order to get a license for a pilot job in the USA for foreigners.

If you are not eligible for the Unites States pilot certificate that you applied for, your paperwork and application will be returned to you. You will be provided with the reason and an explanation for your ineligibility.

If your application is approved, you will be issued a United States pilot certificate. You will also receive the rules and regulations that you are to abide by. Before you can utilize your United States pilot license, an FAA flight instructor will perform a flight review of your skills. This must be performed by an FAA flight instructor, not by a foreign instructor.

Although this seems like a long, drawn out process, it is not. The best part is once you have received your United States pilot license, you will be able to apply for and accept a pilot job in the USA for foreigners.
